The time is 5:45 PM. It has been a standard Thursday afternoon. The working week has been particularly uneventful and there is nothing out of the ordinary to note. Generally, all is well in the world. I arrive home from work, put the car keys and my mobile phone on the kitchen bench, and proceed […]
As some of you may recall, I was a keen yak fisho around 8 years ago and enjoyed writing a good yarn about my adventures with “Happy Hooker” when the sport was relatively new. I have have been out of the kayaking game for a little while now for whatever reasons, however thanks to the […]
Just like many of you, fishing is my life, my passion, and my escape from the stereotypical hustle and bustle of normal day life. I live and breathe every moment of it, and when work isn’t getting in the way, I am tying and retying knots, rigging up that perfect outfit, and out there somewhere […]
If you haven’t already read it, please have a quick peak at Master-baiters, Fishnets, and the Hilton! Part I before going any further. It will fill in a few gaps about the trip. To write… or not to write? That’s the question that has been plaguing me. On one hand, I could share a yarn […]

He has his new toy, and as fate would have it, Dad also caught the first fish on board Buster. Almost as big as a fish finger :) .
Another very quiet day on the water, but at least we have fresh (44cm Orange Spot) Estuary Cod for dinner.
Unfortunately there were only a handful of undersize cod to be found this morning, however it was all worth it when you get greeted by a view like this! Absolutely stunning location.
